Flyers vs Clan Build-up

The playoff  season in the EIHL is short and sweet but there is no lack of intensity in this weekend's games. Flyers will face-off with the Clan for the 11th time tonight and will hope to build on a favourable 6-4-0 record this year. While the Clan finished higher in the league, Flyers have an excellent chance to reach a second Playoff Finals Weekend. Having won four of the final five matches against the Clan spirits are high in the Fife camp. Clan fans will point to the relative form in the final weekends of the season. Braehead have won their final 7 games and are certainly on-form but the Flyers match up well against the Clan and will cause them constant problems.

Prior to this weekend's game, Todd Dutiaume spoke to Ross Cunningham of Flyers TV:

Dutiaume and his team are team are full of confidence and rightly so. Todd commented on the noise that can be made at the Fife Ice Arena and the onus is on all Fife fans to create a formidable atmosphere tonight. If the fans are with the team from the first minute and don't let up, truthfully, the Clan do not stand a chance. You know what to do, Flyers fans!

Former Clan player, Chris Frank has expressed his wishes to return for this game:

Given the way both teams have played this season, I think he would add very little to this tie.

The Murdoch and Frame Podcast joined our friends over at the Purple Army Podcast to discuss this weekend's games. You can listen here:

Great to talk with the guys, but I wish them every disappointment with the games!
